Bruce Springsteen
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will perform at the Xcel Energy Center Saint Paul on Friday, November 2 at 7:30 p.m. This is the first full scale tour for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in 3 years. The multi-city tour will promote the new Springsteen album "Magic," which was released on October 2nd. Touring members of the E Street Band are: Roy Bittan on the keyboard, Clarence Clemons on sax and percussion, Danny Federici on keyboard, Nils Lofgren on guitar, Patti Scialfa singing back-up vocals, Garry Tallent playing bass, Steven Van Zandt on guitar and Max Weinberg banging the drums.
This will be Springsteen's fifth time performing at Xcel Energy Center. Springsteen first rocked the house on September 30, 2002, then again as part of the "Vote For Change Tour" in 2004 and stopped with the "Devils and Dust Tour" in 2005 and last year on his "The Seeger Sessions Tour."
Those who prefer the Boss up front and rocking will be pleased to see Bruce Springsteen return to St Paul with the E Street Band. After exploring his darker side and rootsy folk, Springsteen's new album, "Magic" is said to be a more straightforward collection of songs, led by the strong first single, "Radio Nowhere." Springsteen will have an end stage set-up with a general admission floor. If you want to dance and party all night, the Floor will be the place to be, but for the older rockers that may want to sit and relax during a Springsteen ballad, the lower level reserved sections are the best bet.
