LCD Soundsystem

On Saturday, October 23, LCD Soundsystem will perform live at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium!  LCD Soundsystem consists of James Murphy, Nancy Whang, Tyler Pope, Pat Mahoney, Gavin Russom, and David Scott Stone.  The group formed in 2001 under DFA records in New York City, New York.  Their genre is considered dance with a punk twist and has been applauded for their live performances around the world.

LCD Soundsystem performs with vibrant, bright, and flashing lights.  In 2005, they were nominated for two Grammy Awards in the Electronica category for their self-titled album and the Dance category for "Daft Punk is Playing at My House."  Their album titled "This is Happening" was released on May 17, 2010.  Some of their hit singles include "Losing My Edge", "Give It Up", "Yeah", "Movement", and "All My Friends".  Time magazine named "All My Friends" one of The 10 Best Songs of 2007, ranking it at #4.
